Moustache of the Week!

The NOML congratulates Mohandas Gandhi, our latest nominee for the prestigious NOML Moustache of the Week Award, for the week of 9/04/06 - 9/11/06. With the 5th anniversary of 9/11 looming near, Gandhi remains an inspiration for peace lovers everywhere.

League and Championship Rules

Northern Ohio Moustache League Proudly Presents The First Annual Moustache Growing Championship. August 14th 2006 Official Rules, Regulations, and Guidelines. 1.) No fake moustaches. 2.) Both participants shall shave simultaneously with unused razors. This will officially begin the moustache contest. 3.) No shaving, trimming or any form of moustache alteration shall take place within the first full two weeks of competition. 4.) All other facial hair should be removed after first full week of contest. Date- 8/21/06. 5.) No shaving, trimming or any form of moustache alteration of OPPONENTS facial hair permitted during contest . 6.) Sideburns ARE permitted, BUT may grow no lower than the earlobe. 7.) The use of hair growth tonics, creams or moustache enhancement products are strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to: Just for Men Hair Revitalization Formula and Hair Club for Men. 8.) Rules may not be altered unless otherwise agreed upon by all participating parties. 9.) Any unauthorized grooming, trimming, or alteration of moustache will result in immediate and automatic forfeiture of Moustache Growing Championship. 10.) Winner will receive six pack of choice of non American macro-brewed beer. 11.) Winner will be choosen by a nonpartisan panel of their peers. 12.) Peers shall make decision within a period of no longer than 24 hours from final moustache growth date. 13.) Contestants shall choose individually the date on which their moustache growth has reach desired style, length and fullness. 14.) No postage stamp moustaches in any form shall be permitted. Again, this will result in immediate removal from the contest. This will also result in public humiliation. 15.) Moustache wax is permitted and strongly encouraged. 16.) The MGC board of officials shall not tamper with or influence final judgment results. 17.) Heckling, trash-talking and humiliation between opponents is STRONGLY encouraged. 18.) Acceptable moustache styles include but are not limited to: Fu Manchu, Pencil, Handlebar, Tom Selleck, Clark Gable, Wyatt Earp (good luck), Walrus and Toothbrush. 19.) The NOML does not discriminate based on gender, race, religion, creed or sexual orientation. 20.) Winner is expected to behave in accordance to strict NOML guidelines for moustache comportment.
